From the moment you enter the magnificent quad you embrace a world at once steeped in history and a thriving modern institution of learning. The idyllic, walled Fellows garden is the setting for the evenings entertainment. Comfortable seating with an elevated back row is provided and rugs are on hand should there be a slight chill.
Come early, stroll around and have a drink from our bar which opens 6.30pm (1.30pm matinees). You'll spot actors warming up and preparing the stage for the night ahead, transforming the garden into a place of creative and theatrical magic.
Fine weather and a stunning sunset is the ideal backdrop, but even the odd drop of rain can enhance the atmosphere and the camaraderie between audience and actors alike.
Wadham is Oxford's largest college and has been hosting professional open air theatre since 1992.
